ADAP needed a functioning outbound dialer before their CRM infrastructure was ready. Primero Group built self-contained campaign logic within CXone, then extended it as internal data became accessible.
American Dream Auto Protect (ADAP) is a US-based provider of extended vehicle protection plans, supporting drivers with repair cost coverage beyond factory warranties through a nationwide service network. Contact center outbound operations are central to ADAP's customer engagement and sales model. At the time of engagement, ADAP was moving forward with a NiCE CXone dialer deployment while their CRM infrastructure was still taking shape.
Most outbound dialer implementations begin with an integrated CRM managing contact history, re-attempt timing, compliance rules, and call eligibility. ADAP did not have an external CRM connected to their CXone environment.
They maintained a proprietary internal contact management system with limited functionality, which was not initially accessible to CXone. The constraint was not a reason to delay; ADAP needed a functioning outbound dialer that could operate, deliver value, and comply with outreach regulations from day one, with the flexibility to become more data-intelligent once internal systems could be opened.
Primero Group configured the CXone dialer to operate as a self-contained system using the platform's native capabilities: engagement tracking via platform-native data objects, time-based call sequencing driven by outcome logic, embedded suppression controls aligned to compliance flags, and scheduling rules managing pacing and eligibility.
The system delivered immediate operational value without any external data dependency. As the project developed and trust between the teams grew, we collaborated with ADAP's development team to establish limited API access to the internal contact management system — allowing CXone to retrieve specific data points that made campaign logic more intelligent without introducing a full CRM dependency. The architecture remained modular throughout, ensuring that capabilities could be extended without disrupting the dialer's core operation.
Our engagement with ADAP is an example of pragmatic engineering under real-world constraints. Enterprise CX systems are rarely implemented in ideal conditions — CRM timelines slip, infrastructure is still being built, and the business need exists now rather than when the architecture is complete.
